TMTM can extremely accelerate vulcanization rate of natural and synthetic rubber and has good scorching safety. The activity can be improved by combination of alkaline accelerators such as aldehyde-amines and guanidines. br/> As a secondary accelerator with sulfenamides and thiols, TMTM has important applications in technically. Low-sulfur vulcanization can provide excellent heat aging resistance for vulcanizates.
For NR: 0 . 15-0 .3phr with 2-3phr sulfur;
For SBR: 0 .25- 1 .5phr with 2-3 .5phr sulfur;
For IIR: 1-2phr with 1-2 phr sulfur;
For NBR: 0 . 1-3phr with 0 .5-2phr sulfur and 1-2phr thiols accelerators;
For CR: 0.5- 1phr with 0.5- 1phr sulfur and 1-3phr accelerator D.
