Ozone is one of the strongest oxidants and can oxidize most organic matter, including elastomers, seriously affecting its life and quality. Ozone is produced by many factors: UV exposure, discharge processes, air pollution (NOx), etc. The overall ozone concentration in nature is obviously increasing.
At present, p-phenylenediamine is widely used because of its superior anti-ozone effect and low cost. However, p-phenylenediamine can also cause significant discoloration and contact contamination of vulcanizates, so it cannot be used well for white or colored rubber products, such as white, light-colored soles, medical gloves, latex pillows, etc.
In order to solve the shortage of traditional antiozonants, our company specially developed the non-polluting antiozonant YLSCH-RBB® NOXCA, which provides a certain guarantee for the development of colored rubber products.
YLSCH-RBB® NOXCA (3,9-dicyclohex-3-enyl-2,4,8,10-tetraoxaspiro[5.5]undecane) Appearance is pale yellow to brownish yellow flakes, slightly aromatic taste.SYNONYM: Lanxess Vulkazon AFS/LG. The product is a cyclic unsaturated acetal that does not contain active hydrogen atoms (aryl-NH, -OH, -SH) in structure, and is an acetal containing olefinic double bonds. In the process of molecular chain oxidation, it is not used as a chain terminator, but the double bond of the antiozonant molecular chain and the double bond of the polymer molecular chain have a competitive reaction with ozone.
