Soluble in hydrochloric acid, sodium hydroxide, sodium sulfide, tartaric acid, acetic acid, concentrated sulfuric acid, concentrated nitric acid, insoluble in water, alcohol, dilute sulfuric acid. is an amphoteric oxide. It is reduced to metal antimony by solid carbon or carbon monoxide, hydrogen and other gases at low temperature.
